About Lexarithmos (Ισοψηφία)

Lexarithmos, also known as isopsephy, is the ancient Greek practice of assigning numerical values to letters. Each Greek letter corresponds to a number (Α=1, Β=2, Γ=3... Σ=200, Τ=300, etc.). Words or phrases with the same total value were believed to share mystical connections. This system was used in philosophy, theology, and divination throughout antiquity.

Accepts Greek letters with or without accents. Final sigma (ς) and sigma (σ) are treated the same.

The digital root reduces any number to a single digit (1-9) by repeatedly summing its digits.
